About

Julia Pallone is a visual artist working with a variety of media.
You can see some of her art here : http://juliapallone.com

Her personal practice, ranging from drawing, photography and installations explores a poetic vision of the world, fragile and vunerable.

She graduated in 2002 with a Masters degree from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Nantes, and also holds a Masters degree in Italian studies from the University of Nantes.

She has more than 12 years teaching experience, teaching art at various levels and age groups and in different places (Further education college, community schools, Cork County Council libraries, Arts Centres, festivals, Day Care centres and hospitals, primary schools...).

She is presently teaching Drawing and Painting at the Kinsale College, Level 5 & 6 Fetac classes.

She comes from the Loire Valley in France and moved to Ireland 8 years ago.
She has exhibited extensively in European countries and has been awarded several art residencies, and bursaries awards in France and Ireland.

Now a mum of two little girls, she decided to create her own little workshop, to share her interests and encourage children to experiment with their imagination and explore their creative potential. She profoundly believes that art can be a way to feel in touch with the world and others, and that  art should be part of a daily life.

This year Patricia Pinel will assist her. Patricia holds a BA in childhood Education and a certificate in sociocultural animation.  She is mainly interested in didactics using play for child education, and healthy food. She has years of experience with little ones!!
